We offer a fill-in-the-blank note taking feature that we call Blankify. This allows you to include notes with blanks that the app user can fill in for an interactive note-taking experience.
When should I use Blankify?
Use Blankify to create fill-in-the-blank notes that your congregation can use as they listen to a sermon. Adding blanks as part of the main points in the sermon allows users to follow along and interact during the service.
How do I use Blankify?
In the content section of the Mobile App Studio, locate the item where you would like to add fill-in-the-blank notes.
1. Drag the Blankify Property to the Item:
Locate the Blankify property in the Draggables panel and drag it over to the item you are editing.
2. Add the Sermon Notes:
Add all the notes for the sermon that you want to be available in the app, including the words that will be blank.
3. Add the Blanks:
Highlight the word(s) you would like to be blank and click the Blankify button on the Text Editor. This will create a fill-in-the-blank field for that word on the app. Words that are using the Blankify functionality will display with a bright blue box around them in the Mobile App Studio.
Things to remember:
- When adding the sermon notes, our recommendation is to add a separate Blankify property for each sermon point so users can take their own notes for each point.
- When adding the blanks, we recommend using the actual answer to create the Blankify field rather than typing a blank in the notes, as this will ensure that the blank is the right size. An important tip to know when sharing Blankify notes is that the original answer will be shared, not the user's notes. Including the word instead of a typing a blank will allow users to see the correct answer when the notes are shared.
